Two top techies
James Sanders and Chris Peyton have been good friends since they were at school. Both of them have had experience in busy agencies where they developed their skills separately.
A few years ago, they identified a gap in the market that suited their complimentary skills: the opportunity to offer a web development service for outsourcing to companies and as an added-value service to advertising, PR and design agencies. This would act as a high quality, reliable and competitive alternative to risky and expensive in-house development teams. As a result, they formed Kameleon Digital.
James Sanders
Early in his career, James joined The Driver Is (formerly HTML Ltd), where he stayed for seven years. He became the Network Manager and the chief code trouble shooter, gaining various qualifications along the way.
James eventually decided to become a freelance consultant. When The Driver Is was bought out by Devon-based Bray Leino, he was drafted in to oversee the migration of its sites and servers to the Bray Leino core network. During this time, James enforced rigid coding standards and performed countless stability and load-balance tests on the migrated code, helping to establish a rock-solid offering.
James is responsible for writing the complex server side code, developing product ideas and ensuring that the company’s servers stay online and secure.

Chris Peyton
In his gap year before university, Chris was a technician for a company that made fuel pipes for Boeing and Airbus aeroplanes. Whilst he was there, he automated his daily tasks using spreadsheets and databases, transforming the position from full time to part time.
At university, he helped other students to plan and organise their code more effectively via a student-run programming workshop, before graduating with a degree in Internet Technology. He then joined Exeter-based Designamite Ltd, where he gained considerable experience in building content-managed websites and running and tracking search engine optimisation campaigns.
Subsequently, he decided to change course and carry out freelance work for agencies. He made connections with some great clients and within eighteen months was so busy that he needed to find someone else to help him. Teaming up with James was the perfect solution, and together they founded Kameleon Digital.
Now that the team has grown, Chris oversees projects and deals with the day-to-day running of the business. He also passes on his wealth of experience in system design and front-end web development to others within the company.
